Refund Policy
Last updated · August 5, 2026
The short version
Coda is a licensed digital product delivered instantly. Once you have downloaded or activated Coda, the purchase is final and refunds are not available. This matches the standard for licensed digital software — Steam, Adobe, Microsoft Store, and every SaaS provider operate the same way.
Before you buy, make sure Coda is right for you: check your controller against our Supported Controllers list, try the Gamepad Tester, or email [email protected] with any pre-purchase question. We'd rather answer questions before you buy than deal with refund disputes after.
Subscription cancellations
You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account portal at coda-apps.com/account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no further charges will be made, and you retain access until the period you have already paid for ends.
Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer after you have downloaded or activated Coda is a breach of these terms and, under Paddle's Buyer Terms, may be treated as fraudulent. In any chargeback dispute we will provide Paddle and the issuing bank with:
- Server-side activation timestamp for your license
- Hardware fingerprint(s) recorded against the license
- License usage records showing continued access after purchase
- Copy of these Terms and your accepted acknowledgement of the statutory waiver (see below)
We additionally reserve the right to permanently revoke the license associated with the chargeback and to block future purchases from the same customer or payment method.
If you have a legitimate concern, contact us at [email protected] first. A chargeback bypasses our support process and forces us to defend a matter that a short email can usually resolve.
Exclusions
We decline refunds in the following cases:
- Coda has been downloaded and/or activated
- Request submitted more than 14 days after purchase
- Evidence of license sharing, redistribution, or any terms-of-service violation
- Repeated refund requests across multiple purchases
- Chargeback filed without first contacting support in good faith
- Suspension or banning of your account by a game publisher or platform
Game and platform bans
Coda is controller-input software. It does not automate aim, compensate recoil, or play any part of a game for you, and it does not read from or write to any game process. What it cannot do is bind the companies that run the games you play.
Publishers and anti-cheat providers set their own rules and change them without notice, including in ways that affect widely used, legitimately signed drivers. We make no representation that using Coda is permitted by any game or platform, and we give no assurance that it will not lead to action against your account. Deciding whether Coda is compatible with the rules of the games you play is your responsibility.
Accordingly, a suspension or ban is not a ground for a refund, and does not extend the withdrawal period set out below. This does not affect any statutory rights you have that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Statutory withdrawal right (EU consumers)
EU consumers hold a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from digital purchases under §356 BGB and equivalent EU law. This right is waived automatically at the moment you download or activate Coda. You accept this waiver by completing checkout through Paddle (see Paddle's Buyer Terms). Activation is logged server-side when your Coda client first validates against our servers and constitutes irrevocable start of performance under §356 Abs. 5 BGB.
In practical terms: the 14-day withdrawal window is only available while you have not yet downloaded or activated Coda. If that applies, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase with your license key or purchase email. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method.
Refund requests handled directly by Paddle acting as Merchant of Record may fall under Paddle's own Buyer Terms and are outside our sole discretion.
Questions
For anything unclear or a case that feels like it needs individual review, write to [email protected] — we handle edge cases individually where the strict clause would otherwise be unfair.
